I just watched a movie called "Moon" starring Sam Rockwell. It was interesting, well-made, and very sad at times - which is quite an accomplishment for a low-budget science fiction movie. Overall, it was one of the better films I've seen lately. I was thinking all this just as the credits were about to roll. Then, for absolutely no reason, the very last line of the movie was a political cheap shot - totally unnecessary and irrelevant to the plot. It was jarringly out of place and, in my opinion, ruined the entire film. It was as though the director said "Okay, I've worked hard on this, and I'm going to reward myself by throwing in a line to make conservatives look like morons."
Ugh. What a shame.
